Lyrically, I can’t think of any better records over the past decade than BARR’s Summary. This is the closest thing the record has to a pop song I suppose, and i’m pretty sure i’ve heard this a thousand times now.

I think it’s safe to say the upper echelons of Don’t Make Lists will be filled with stuff I love because that gentleman has excellent taste.
BARR, then. BARR fucking blew my head open the first time I heard him. It was a real “Wait… You’re allowed to do this? This is amazing! THIS is what I want to do!” moment. So somewhere between his methods, his intensely honest lyrics and uh, you know, absolutely everything, BARR is a pretty huge influence on who I am and what I do.
